Citizen Science
Citizen Science is when regular people do something scientific. This could be anything from taking pictures of organisms and identifying them, to making a full on greenhouse and recording data. Anyone who does stuff science and is not a scientist, is called a citizen scientist. Loree G. Burns is the author of the book "Citizen Scientists". She shows how even children can do cool science projects for fun. and also that you can learn things from it.

3 Cool Citizen Science Projects.
- It is a project called Poo Power! Duncan Chew and Mia Cobb are in charge of this project. It basically helps pick up dog droppings of streets and sidewalks which is then turned into biogas for local use. I think this is interesting because i've seen some poo on the streets/sidewalks.
- This is called Age Guess. Uli Steiner and Dusan Misevic are the head citizen scientists for this project. This is an on-line app that lets you guess the ages of people without offending them. It shows you how different humans age at different times.
- This ones called Play With Your Dog. The principal scientists are Alexandra Horowitz and Julie Hecht. This project is where you upload a video of you and your dog playing then they can use that to see what activities make dogs happy. This is interesting to me because I have a dog which I play with a lot.
